This is your final assignment!
In working on your self-marketing plan you viewed yourself as a product to be marketed. In this section you will review your self-marketing plan to see how you used different marketing concepts in developing it.
Step 1:
Look at the table of contents of your marketing textbook and write down all the concepts that you have used in developing your digital self-marketing plan. You will be graded on the number of concepts that you have used. Using 5 –10 concepts will earn you 1 point; using 11 – 20 concepts will earn you 2 points; and using more than 20 concepts will earn you 3 points.
Step 2:
Next to the different ideas expressed in your digital self-marketing plan write down the marketing concepts that you have used. Explain how the images and music that you have selected to incorporate in your digital presentation relate to these marketing concepts. Now reorganize your story by writing down (or cutting and pasting, if you are working on the computer) the phrases or ideas from your story that correspond with the different concepts in a new document called the Analysis Worksheet.
Edit your Analysis Worksheet. Fill in some details and rewrite a little bit to make sure that a reader understands how your self-marketing plan can be analyzed by using some of the key concepts in this course. Append it to your written paper.
This written assignment that accompanies the PowerPoint presentation should be from 10 to 12 pages in length and should involve reflection and research. These written assignments you will submit to the class blog – www.mar100103.wordpress.org. Please choose someone you are close to work with for four half-hour sessions during the semester, outside the classroom. After you write each component of the paper, please spend time with your partner to strategize about your future plans and obtain feedback to fine-tune the assignment. This partner may be a fellow student, a parent, guardian, friend or mentor. Review the written assignment feedback to submit a top quality paper.
